Dr Who And The Chumsters

Dr Who And The Chumsters

The Complete And Utter History Of Dr WHO? (Part Nineteen)

In 2011, 'Docr. Who' fandoms were rocked to their very fondation garments when an episode of 'Dr Who And The Chummers' were found in a bin in Southampton. This episode ('I'm Locked-Up In The Air') were an astonishing find as I have been in Southampton many times and I never found anything of consequents except for the time we found Mary Poopins' umbrella that she had abandoned after a crash landing.

This were always a much sought-after story ever since the embryo Doctro Who Adoration Society (or 'Dee-wass' as it are more correctly pronounced) wrote to the BBCeeb and asked to show it at their conference, but the BBBC said thay had taped over it with yet another version of 'Sykes And A Bath'.

Opening, the third Seasoning of 'Doc O'Who', this tale (which occured in the Fourth Universe, wherever that may be!) pitted Dr Whole and his helpers agains the venemous Margar who were prone to speaking to the camera when she thought she could get away with it.

Margar had Leader's Things and a Metal Mesh which were proud of and would display eagerly. She would also eat leaves, which were an early attempt to get the general public at home to have it five times a day, which some people find difficult.

There was also the Chumbers, who were small robots with appendages of various sizes and were operated by the man who were The Butler in 'The Prisoners' though they had to keep telling him not to wear his bowler hat as it did not lend the Chumbos an air of menace generally.

Given the diminutive size of the Chumboid props it is not clear how he fitted inside them unless they had raised the set and he were standing in a trench or something.

We should not also forget the Riles, who were fond of ammonia and were the owners of the Chumoids. They were popular and the phrase 'Are you Riled up?' were heard around the countries for up to a week after the story finished. Rile-themed T-shirts may be seen on the streets of London (and elsewhere) to this very day.

What were strange is that no-one had told Wilfred Umms (who wrote the words) that Barbbab had left previously, so Stefan ended up tackling a Lady's Part. But even more oddly, they seemed to have told him that Ewen had left, as Vichy did not have to handle a Man's Part, so there is some inconsistency there.

Then the planet exploded and a man said 'I must kill!' which were a bit of a downer at the time.

Next Episode:

"What do you mean?"
