Bill Stickers Will Be Prosecuted

Bill Stickers Will Be Prosecuted

Poor old Bill, eh? Why is it always him that's prosecuted?

But Martin's provided the above image and the first thing that entered my head was the poor personage who might be called upon to put up images of our fizzogs as part of their daily routine.

If we lived in Trumpton, this would be a job for Bill Sticker Nick Fisher, whose name suspiciously rhymes with his job, suggesting that there might be some identity fraud going on there. According to his song, Nick is quite at home putting up adverts for sausages and pills, so he'd probably take some 'Round The Archives' publicity in his stride.

Of course, you wouldn't want the boys of the Trumpton Fire Brigade entrusted with such a task, as they'd make a right balls-up of the whole operation if their track record is anything to go by.

Worringly, they don't even seem safe climbing a relatively small ladder, so heaven knows how they'd cope in an actual emergency.

The nearest thing to us that carries anything similar is the bus stop nearest to our house which featured one Jodie Whittaker not so long ago.

But I don't think we're brave enough to nip over there after dark and paper over the current poster with something more home-grown.

I have toyed with the idea of getting some business cards done, but short of leaving them in random telephone boxes (which might give people the wrong idea about what we actually get up to), I'm not sure of the best way to distribute them.

But when you're presented with lovely things like the 'Round The Archives' Family Portrait (below), you really do want to share it with the world.

  1. Early days, of course, but if the cartoons persist for long enough, at least there's a cover for the "Collected Cartoons" book in place... (Not that I need a garage full of unwanted paperbacks... Not that I actually have a garage...) ;-)

  2. But would we be'RTA Enterprises' or 'RTA Worldwide'?
