The Warning Of The Machinery

The Warning Of The Machinery

The Complete And Utter History Of Dr WHO? (Part Twenty-Eight)

It were 1966 and London were throbbing with youthful beats, so naturally DOOTOR WHO come to a disco where he did some shapes on the dancefloor.

The series had never been set in the present days, apart from the several times when it had been, so seeing DOCTORW hanging about on street corners and hailing taxis left, right and centre were an innovative innovation.

He encountered a big computer called WANTON who could do square routes (which was forshadowed when TARDIST landed in a square and DOCTRO HOW had to plan his route) and it also knew what TARDIST stood for, but that is hardly a difficult thing to look up.

In WANTON's office there was a a secretary called POLTY who had keyboard skills, but she could not darn socks, apparently, though this is not usually called from most employers and besides you can buy new ones quite cheaply these days.

This story also introduced BENNY whose career choice meant that he spent most of his time amongst seamen who were able.

WANTON were to be linked up with other computers such as ELMO (which were red) and it also had a playlist of its favourite music which included TELSTAR, so it were very like the internet of today, although it did not show any videos of baby pandas sneezing, but then it is very hard to predict the future.

DOO-DOO were hypnotized by DOCTROWHO so that she would go on holiday for the rest of the story and strangely he forgot to pick her up again, but then he had a lot on his plate when a famous tramp were killed in a warehouse. The tramp were obviously famous as he were all over the papers the next morning and they had publicity phoros of him and everything.

DOCTOR WHOZ were shacking up with a man who looked like MISTER ROSE from the detective series 'MISTER ROSE' which were a detective series about a man called MISTER ROSE. This is why when 'DOCTORHO' come back in 2005 and were also set in the modern day, the first story were called 'MISS ROSE' as she were not yet married.

BENNY found that some misguided greengrocers were building the dreaded WARNING MACHINES under the instructions of WANTON and a MAJOR GREEN who may have once been a grocer, but it is not made explicit in the final scripts.

The army were called in to tackle the WARNED MACHINES but DOCTORHOW fought one more effectively in a boxing ring and KENNETH KENDALL told people to stay in the pub, which is what they were going to do anyway, probably.

Then a WARM MACHINE went up in a lift and then it come out and it sprayed WANTON with its rigid weapon and everything blew up and so the story climaxed!

DOCTORHOOO went away, but BENNY (who had his hat and his bulging sack with him) and POLTY (who only had a hat as she travelled light) were clinging to the TARDIST and he did not notice, so they went with him and two people going past were surprised.
