How? (Is Episode 19 doing?)

How? (Is Episode 19 doing?)

This is the first blog post we've done when part-way through editing an Episode, which gives us a chance to let you know what's on the horizon.

Well, we like to think that we've been really rather productive in the past 24 hours, but it's quite interesting how an Episode can go from being Barely Started to Virtually Complete over the space of a weekend or so.

Warren had already helped us out with a piece on Southern TV's wonderful series 'How', which was the first article to actually be recorded. But we'd worked out the basic structure of the Episode some time ago. We'd already done a couple of jokes about Jack Hargreaves doing a ship in a bottle, but it was about time that the series itself became the focus of our attention.

The only major question about our running order was whether we'd be able to include Paul and Nick this time around. Thankfully, our Salisbury based Second Unit came up trumps again with a fascinating piece based around two random episodes of the Brian Clemens series 'Thriller'. As we say in our podcast, it wasn't a show we knew that much about, but thanks to our dynamic duo's article, we wasted no time in ordering the whole show on DVD. Hopefully, we can influence some of our listeners into trying out the series for themselves.

'Arthur  C Clarke's Mysterious World' had been on our shortlist for some time, and it also gave us the chance to cast an eye over 'The Goodies: Bigfoot' which captures the spirit of the former show and adds a dash of eccentric humour. Give or take the odd woman who claims that her house was visited by a giant 'Mexican hat without the bobbles'. Yes, quite...

A little while ago we finally finished our journey through Perry and Croft's 'Hi-De-Hi!'. so that has allowed us to devote the major article to the goings-on at Maplin's holiday camp. As i type this, we recorded this article about two hours ago, which gives you an idea of how close to release we actually do this!

Hopefully, Episode 19 will be with you fairly shortly and then we can turn our attention to the milestone that is Episode 20. Stay tuned!
