Episode 22 Now Available!

Episode 22 Now Available!

It's always a lovely feeling when you're able to press the 'Upload' button on Soundcloud, but there's always the slight anxiety of Did I Make A Dreadful Mistake In The Edit?

I don't think I've done anything obviously wrong, but the editing process does cram a lot of activity into a few hours and there's always the chance that something has gone horribly wrong. And the more silly effects and noises you drop into an article, the greater the chance that you've missed something.

But Episode 22 is now up and running and we hope you enjoy the result.

The piece on 'The Computer Programme' takes us on a meandering walk through the home computer revolution of the early 1980s and sees us getting all nostalgic for games such as 'Atic Atac' and 'The Hobbit'. We pay tribute to The Cookies Man (as we call him) and wonder about the best way to transfer water between two buckets at the Stourpaine Steam Fair. There may be some loading noises in this issue as well...

Martin Holmes reads our first piece of poetry and examines Episode One of the 1973 'Doctor Who' story 'The Green Death'. Martin, like 'Round The Archives', is all multi-media and so you can also read the text of his article here.

Paul, the Shy Yeti himself, has recently spent some time looking at the Sid James sitcom 'Bless This House' and has even found time to have a look at the film version as well.

We also 'treated' Warren to one of the more unusual episodes of Jon Pertwee's 'Whodunnit?' show with 'Future Imperfect', which is a collision between Magnus Pyke, the Bionic Woman and Bernard Horsfall in a white wig. This one definitely has to be seen to be believed, and we're sure Warren will forgive us in time...

Some silly sketches top and tail the episodes, with me giving a half-decent impression of The Cookies Man.

As a point of interest, Lisa did not actually put a bag on her head in the opening sketch, but we did at least rustle one at the appropriate moment...

As for Episode 23...

Well, that would be telling...
