Looks Unfamiliar - Episode 94
We were surprised and delighted recently to be asked by Tim Worthington whether we would like to make a third appearance on his wonderful 'Looks Unfamiliar' podcast, where guests are invited to talk about the things they remember that nobody else seems to.
The format requires the guests to cover six things that could fall into this category, so at least we only have to supply three things each. We did wonder whether we could come up with another half dozen such things, but surprised ourselves when we managed to produce a short list within 24 hours of receiving Tim's suggestion.
So this time around we look at Geoff Love's 'Big Terror Movie Themes' album, 'Plug' comic, 'The Swish Of The Curtain', Jim Henson's 'Dinosaurs', the Arthur C Clarke books 'Report On Planet Three' & 'Profiles Of The Future' and John Inman's remarkable LP 'Are You Being Served, Sir?'.
The recording session overran by a good 45 minutes, which saddled Tim with a huge amount of editing, but we're very pleased with the results and are very grateful at being asked.
So, you can listen to our burblings on Tim's blog here.
Just remember that we do not support Arthur C Clarke's idea that one should set light to golf balls to convince your neighbours they have a UFO in their garden!
